Apres-Ski
/ Nightlife
Apres-ski is centered in
the Village or in LionsHead. The Red Lion has a deck, live
music and great nachos. In the Village, try Los Amigos at
the base of the Vista Bahn and join the viewers on the deck watching
late-day skiers make their way down the steep Pepi's Face. Vendetta's
in the Village is a locals' favorite. Mickey's at the Lodge
at Vail has the top piano bar. Several restaurants have house entertainers
who are long-time career musicians. In LionsHead, Garfinkel's has a great sunny deck overlooking the slopes. Gather your buddies and try their shot wheel.
Bart & Yeti's, named
after the owner's late dogs, is like a classic Western tavern, studded
with rustic logs, wagon wheels, stuffed birds and photographs depicting the Wild West. It's a tried-and-true locals' hangout with little
fanfare.
For later nightlife, The
Tap Room on Bridge Street caters to a movin' and groovin' mature
crowd, while a few doors away, Samana attracts a young crowd
with loud rock'n'roll. The Club normally offers acoustic
guitar music. 8150 has live alternative music.
