The Sundance Art Shack offers two-hour courses in arts and crafts such as jewelry making, wheel-thrown pottery, painting and photography, and it’s possible to watch glassblowers at work, when they’re in residence. There’s also a gallery on the premises with rotating exhibits. Visit the Nature Center (223-4044) for information on local flora and fauna and to ask about special programs, including guided naturalist hikes, telescope stargazing, snowshoe outings and ecology tours. The Sundance Spa offers massage, bodywork, skin care and nail care treatments. Hatha yoga is offered twice daily.
SUNDANCE NATURE PROGRAMS

Snowmobiling is available at The Homestead, 25 minutes away. Dogsledding is available in Midway. The Seven Peaks Ice Rink, venue for the 2002 Olympic women’s hockey games, is 20 minutes away and open for skating sessions and classes Mon.—Sat. Sundance’s concierge can also assist with reservations for helicopter tours, hot air balloons and glider rides. Shopping is limited and geared to the “if you have to ask…” crowd.
