The Sundance Cross Country Center (223-4170), 1.5-miles beyond the alpine area, has 24 k of trails groomed for skating and classical skiing and 10 k of dedicated snowshoe trails. The trail fee is $11, or $8 after 2 p.m. Children younger than 12 and seniors older than 65 are free. Every other Saturday, guided Snowshoe with a Naturalist Tours are offered for $20, including trail pass. Other special programs are offered through the Nature Center. Instruction is available in traditional, skating and Telemark skiing.
