Apres-Ski / Nightlife
Dos Amigos, as noted
in the Dining section,
is one leg of the "Steamboat Triangle." Have margaritas
and half-priced apps here, then head for Slopeside
and The Tugboat Grill & Pub for beer or mixed drinks.
Chaps, in the Steamboat Grand, is a Western-themed bar and
grill with live entertainment most evenings throughout the winter.
A quieter apres-ski on the mountain can be found at 3 Saddles
in the Sheraton. Formerly HB's, it had a makeover a few years ago
and is now a wide-open, great-view kind of place. Downtown, the
Old Town Pub and Mahogany Ridge have great
apres-ski. All tapas and house brews are half-price from 4-6 p.m. at Mahogany Ridge.
Sandwiched
between Dos Amigos and Tugboat is a three-tiered building that you
never have to leave. The main floor houses Wired, an Internet
cafe by day and a martini bar by night. After 5 p.m. you can slurp
a Mango Tango Tini, Dreamsicle or Slippery Banana from an extensive
menu. Jocks can hit the sports bar, Lupo's, on the second
level.
Downtown, the lively spots
include The Tap House, Steamboat Smokehouse and The
Old Town Pub.
