Termas — Lodging

Most lodging is based on a week-long-stay basis and includes breakfast, dinner, and lift tickets (reservations 866-237-4119). Prices vary depending on the time of year, and shorter stays can be arranged in the arly- and late-season.

The Gran Hotel ($$$$) is by far the finest lodging in the area. The resort rates it as 5 stars, but that ranking is a bit generous. While the rooms are comfortable and the service impeccable, it lacks the little, elegant touches you’d expect in a tru 5-star. The hotel offers a variety of rooms from singles to suites, and all rooms come with an excellent view. Rooms with the mountain views are a little more, but well worth it. The slopeside hotel towers directly above the steaming, hot, mineral pools and spa, which allows the transition from skiing to relaxing to take only seconds.

Across the slope from the Gran Hotel, the Hotel Pirigallo ($$$) is a more moderate hotel. It is an option for those there mainly to ski and ride. The two story building has smaller rooms, all with good access to the slopes.

The resort has six Condominium ($$-$$$) buildings throughout the resort, and these are the most economical choice if there are 4 or more people in your group.

Seven kilometers down the road from the resort in Las Trancas, Hotel Pirimahuida ($$) offers accommodations for those traveling on more of a budget. The hotel has thermal pools and great views of the mountain in a cozy setting in the forest.

If spending a night in the city of Chillan during transit, the 4-star Gran Hotel Isabel Riquelme (42-43 44 00, $$-$$$) is a perfect place to transition back into or away from the real world. The same standard of service exists here as at Termas de Chillan since the hotel is owned by the same company. If looking for a little less expensive option, check out Hotel Las Terrazas (42 43 70 06 $$). The 3-star hotel has a large, comfortable lounge with meticulously clean rooms.
