Mount-Sainte-Anne has a skating rink at the base. Dogsledding, paragliding and sleigh rides can be arranged at the area. Snowmobiling is available nearby. For information on all, call 418-827-4561.

The Charlevoix region has deep roots in its Catholic religious heritage. In every parish you can visit the church of each village, but don’t miss a trip to the spectacular Basilica Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré (418-827-3781) on your route between Québec City and Mt. Ste. Anne. It’s one of 20 pilgrimage shrines in Québec. The original burned to the ground in 1927. This replacement is magnificent, immense and there’s a fair touch of whimsy in the floor tiles depicting the seven deadly sins.
