Panorama Mountain Resort, British Columbia, Canada

Mountain Layout—Snowboarding

While most riders give the manmade stuff a thumbs up, they really come here for the natural terrain. This resort is an excellent choice for intermediate, advanced and expert riders. Check out almost 1,000 acres of backcountry terrain in the Taynton Bowl: You'll find chutes, glades and wide-open runs here. Be forewarned: It’s a long trudge out of the bowl.

Parks and pipes
In the Showzone Terrain Park, experienced riders and skiers will find multiple tabletops, kickers, spines, rails, funboxes and an FIS-regulation halfpipe. Little rippers and freestyle newcomers will be happy in Blue Park, with its scaled-down versions of all the elements found in Showzone to ensure a safer, yet fun, experience for kids and intermediate snowboarders. Both terrain parks are lit for night sessions and piped-in DMX music adds to the ambience.
