Wolf Lake, Aurora, Riverbend (left) and Hearthstone Townhomes ($$$–$$$$) feature superior ski-in/ski-out access. These one- to three-bedroom lodgings throughout the village have full kitchens, fireplaces and VCRs.

1,000 Peaks Lodge and Summit, Ski Tip Lodge, Tamarack Lodge, Panorama Springs Condo/Hotel and Taynton Lodge ($$–$$$) are condos. All were recently built slopeside in the heart of the upper village surrounding the hot pools.

Horsethief Lodge and Toby Creek Lodge ($$) are family-style studio condos with one to three bedrooms, some with lofts, in the lower village. Units have full kitchens, fireplaces, VCRs, underground parking and easy ski and upper village access.

The Pine Inn ($–$$; right) has budget hotel rooms with full bath, television and coffee maker. The Elkhorn Cabin Bed & Breakfast (888-767-7799; $$$$) overlooks Toby Creek valley and Mount Nelson. It’s rustic, romantic and very comfortable. The package includes a fireplace, bed quilts, big pillows, washbasin, soap and towels, plus dinner and breakfast prepared in advance.
