Child care: Ages 6 months to 6 years at the Penguin Playground Day Care Center. Parents can choose between facilities at the Okemo base area or the Jackson Gore base area: $75 for a full day with lunch; $49 for a half day. Sunday morning, 8 a.m.–1 p.m., costs $61, with lunch. Mini Stars ski lessons are available for kids ages 3–4; cost is $55 for 1-1/2 hour session ($40 as an add-on to day care). Rentals are extra.

OKEMO MOUNTAIN'S CHILD CARE PAGES

Half-hour private "Starbooster" lessons are available for children ages 3-7 for $45.

Young Mountain Explorers and Young Riders, ages 7–14, have supervised lesson programs for $82 a day. Rentals and lift tickets are extra.

First Tracks is a packages for first-timers that includes lesson, rentals and beginner lifts; cost is $85 for ages 7–12 and $95 for ages 13–18. Double Tracks is a two-day first-timer package; cost is $135 for ages 7–12 and $150 for ages 13–14.

Special activities: Kids’ Night Out, for ages 6 months to 12 years, includes evening care from 6–9:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Kids eat pizza, watch movies and play games. Call (802) 228-1780 for price and reservations.

Okemo also has Snow Monsters, a program for children, families and educators that stresses on-slope safety, courtesy and protecting the environment while having fun. Kids can take a monster quiz, earn points, send a postcard to a friend, play online games and more.
