By air: Salt Lake City is a major airline hub, so flights are numerous. USS Ogden Express (866-746-5438) offers valley to airport and ski area transportation.
By train: Amtrak's California Zephyr stops
in Salt Lake City (at 4 a.m. coming from the West Coast, but the
fare is cheap. From Chicago, the train arrives at midnight). Call

Getting to Snowbasin
By
car to Snowbasin: Snowbasin is about 40 miles north of the airport.
From the south (Salt Lake International Airport, Sandy, Provo),
take I-15 northbound and exit to northbound Hwy. 89 (exit #324).
Merge to I-84 eastbound and exit at Mountain Green (exit #92). Continue
east on Old Highway and turn left on Hwy. 167 heading north (just
east of the Sinclair station). Turn left on Hwy. 226 heading west
and proceed about 3 miles to Snowbasin.
From the north (Logan, Brigham City, Ogden), take I-15 southbound
and exit to I-84 eastbound (exit #340). Proceed east on I-84 and
exit at Mountain Green (exit #92). Continue east on Old Highway
and turn left on Hwy. 167 heading north (just east of the Sinclair
station). Turn left on Hwy. 226 heading west and proceed about 3
miles to Snowbasin.
From Park City, take I-80 eastbound and exit to I-84 westbound.
Proceed west on I-84 to Peterson/Mt. Green (exit #96). Turn left
on Old Highway heading west to Mountain Green. Turn right on Hwy.

on Hwy. 226 heading west and proceed about 3 miles to Snowbasin.

Powder Mountain
By
car to Powder Mountain: Powder Mountain is 55 miles north of
the airport and 19 miles northeast of Ogden.
From
Salt Lake City, take I-15 North to Ogden's 12th Street exit. Turn
East and follow the signs through Ogden Canyon.
From Park City, take I-80 East to I-84 junction, then west on I-84
to exit 96 and follow the signs. |
