Snowshoe from the top of the gondola to La Crete Lodge (827-4561, Ext. 0; $$$) for Swiss fondue on Wednesday and Saturday nights. You ride the gondola to the summit, then snowshoe to the lodge for a fondue dinner. It’s a great family activity.

Auberge Boudreault (826-1333; $$–$$$) serves regional fine cuisine, fresh pastas, veal and game. BeauRegard (827-5211; $$$$) has won numerous awards for its cuisine and wine selection.

In Beaupre: L’Aventure (827-5748; $–$$) is a lively bar and restaurant with an excellent view of the mountain. It serves an eclectic selection including Mexican and Italian favorites. The menu at Le St-Bernard (827-6668; $–$$) lists steaks, pizzas and pastas. Auberge La Camarine (800-567-3939 or 827-1958; $$$) serves progressive French cuisine.
