
Lessons
Group clinics are offered in skiing and snowboarding, for adults and children, from first-timers through lower intermediates. Private clinics are available for all levels, from beginners through experts. The Mount Snow Adaptive program gets handicapped and mentally challenged individuals to experience the thrill of skiing – many of them for the first time.
Adult group clinics, offered several times a day, are $43 for two hours.
First-timer package: Learn-to-ski or snowboard is a half-day program using the Guaranteed Learning Method. The day begins in the Discovery Center, with an introductory video while their teaching pro brings in the rental equipment. The outdoor experience lasts for several hours and includes a break for hot cocoa. In the afternoon, practice centers around the Launch Pad learning area with its two magic carpets and triple chair.
Children's Programs start at age 3, and snowboard programs for kids start at age 7. Programs are based out of Mount Snow's Discovery Center, with its own children's rental shop. Reservations are required for all programs and may be made on-line.
Cub Camp, a half-day program for 3-year-olds, includes a morning or afternoon outside on the slopes learning the basics of skiing.
Snow Camp, for 4- to 6-year-olds, is offered in half- and full-day sessions. The cost is $67 (including lunch and snacks) and $97 respectively.
Mountain Camp and Mountain Riders improves the skiing and snowboarding skills of kids 7 to 14 years old. Beginners stay on the lower mountain, while advanced skiers and riders tackle the rest. The cost is $83 for a full day (including lunch and snacks) and $48 for a half-day.
Private Lessons: Private snowboard and ski clinics are available by appointment for all ages and ability levels. Whether it's your first-time or you are on your way to becoming a pro, one-on-one coaching produces the best skill development and the fastest improvement. Private clinics can be tailored for your needs are available for 1-6 hours for up to four people.
