Getting there
By air: The nearest major airport is Reno, 165 miles away. Rent a car for the drive south, because ground transportation is spotty, and you probably will want a car in Mammoth. Mammoth's air service information changes frequently, so for the latest news, call the Mammoth Lakes Airport (760-934-3825), Mammoth Lakes Visitors Bureau, (888) 466-2666 or consult the MLVB Web site (www.visitmammoth.com).
By
car: Mammoth is 325 miles north of Los Angeles on Hwy. 395 and
165 miles south of Reno on the same highway. June Mountain is 20
miles north of Mammoth Lakes off Hwy. 395.
