By air: Burlington airport is about an hour away.

By train: Amtrak offers train-ski-lodging packages, with daily service from New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. For information and packages, call (800) 237-7547; (800) 872-7245 for train only.

By car: Sugarbush is off Rte. 100, about 20 miles south of Waterbury.

Getting around: The Mad Bus (496-7433) provides free, round-trip travel between designated stops in Warren and Waitsfield, including the Sugarbush base areas and Mad River Glen (weekends and holidays only). Two buses leave Lincoln Peak consecutively, on the hour and half hour. Schedules can be obtained from your lodging or online at www.madrivervalley.com/transportation. For a one-time visit to town it's okay, but for more frequent visits, bring or rent a car. Valley Rent-All (496-5440) rents cars locally.
