KILLINGTON'S WEBSITE OTHER ACTIVITIES PAGE
The Spa at The Woods
(422-3139) is a full-service European spa at The Woods Resort &
Spa. Treatments include hot stone therapy, citrus body polish and
seaweed body mask. The Killington Grand Spa (422-1050) is a full-service spa that opened at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel in 2006.
Shopping is plentiful,
but as spread out as the resort. The Killington Shops at the Shack,
several outlet-style stores, are at the intersection of Rte. 4 and
the Killington Road. Woodstock, about 17 miles east of Killington
on Rte. 4, is one of Vermont's most beautiful villages and is packed
with art galleries and shops. Even farther east on Rte. 4 in Quechee
is the Simon Pearce glass-blowing workshop and store.
Rutland has a few chain and big-box stores, an unnoteworthy mall south of town, plus a handful of interesting shops in its old downtown section. Behind the mall is the Rutland Fieldhouse with indoor ice skating (802-775-3100). For indoor rock climbing, try the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center (802-773-3343) on Rt. 4 on the way into Rutland from Killington. Rutland also has the Paramount Theatre (802-775-0570) that opened in 1914. It was recently restored and has been visited by music greats such as Arlo Guthrie and Alison Krauss as well as several theater productions. Check paramountvt.org for programs.
