Getting there (Area Code 802)

By air: Major airports are in Burlington, Vt., Albany, N.Y., and Manchester, N.H. Burlington is about a 90-minute drive from Killington, while Albany and Manchester are each about two hours. Green Mountain Limousine Service (773-1313) runs transfers from the Burlington airport. Thrifty Rental Cars has an office at the Inn of the Six Mountains. Major car rental companies are also available at the airports. Continental has daily service from Boston into the Rutland State Airport, about a 20-minute drive from Killington, with rental cars available at the airport.

KILLINGTON TRIP PLANNING TIPS

By car: Killington is at the intersection of Rtes. 4 and 100 in central Vermont near the city of Rutland, about three hours northwest of Boston. Pico is located about 3 miles west of the Killington Access Road on Rte. 4.

DIRECTIONS FROM KILLINGTON WEBSITE

By train: Daily service is available on Amtrak’s Ethan Allen Express from New York City to Rutland, with bus service or car rental to Killington. Call (800) 872-7245 for train information, or Killington Central Reservations (800-621-6867) for package information.

Getting around: Bring or rent a car or use the Killington Shuttle bus service. Though you might not use your car to move between your lodging and the slopes, Killington is very spread out, and you may want to visit the attractions nearby.
