Don't underestimate: There's not much variety in this small village, but there's a lot of quality.

The newly remodeled Targhee Steakhouse ($$–$$$) is Targhee's finest restaurant, with entrees such as rack of lamb, whiskey chicken, shrimp scampi and poached salmon. It also serves breakfast and lunch.

Snorkel's ($) is the spot for great gourmet pizza and pasta with fun and games for the family. Breakfast here features sinful pastries and espressos. Wild Bill's Grille ($) in the Rendezvous Lodge has breakfast, pizza, a soup and salad bar, sandwiches and Mexican food. The Trap Bar ($) serves a fine Idaho potato with all the trimmings, basic grilled sandwiches, burgers and chicken, plus apres-ski snacks.

Dinner sleigh rides cost $35 for adults and $15 for kids (14 and younger).
