Apres-Ski / Nightlife
Crowds
start gathering at The Grizzly Bar even before the lifts
shut down, and it revs up to a loud hum with tall tales of the day's
skiing and riding. There's live music and dancing on weekends from 3 - 6 p.m. plus Saturday nights 9 p.m. to midnight. Kelsey's
is the other on-mountain destination for a lively crowd. A more
sedate crowd heads to the Lizard Creek Lodge Lounge, where
you can be swallowed up by leather chairs and couches while you
watch night fall over the mountain or watch the big-screen TV. Appetizers
and a menu are available here.
In
town, play pool, foosball, ping pong or watch your favorite sports
on scattered TV screens at the Pub Bar & Grill in the
Park Place Lodge. Eldorado Lounge is the town's most aerobic
nightclub, with a dance floor that's hopping every night but Sunday.
Or head to Eschwigs at The Northern Hotel. For those
who want a quieter evening, theres a movie theater.
Fernie
was well known for its beer brewing till 1960 and the new Fernie
Brewing Company hopes to revive that history. Local restaurants
and pubs serve the company's microbrews.
