is walking distance from the slopes. Three hotels and more than
100 condominiums are run by three operations.
For the three hotelsAlpine Inn ($$$$$), Quicksilver Lodge ($$$$$) and Village Inn ($$)call Crystal Mountain Hotels (888-754-6400;
663-2262). At the legendary Alpine Inn, units range from a small
room for two with a shower down the hall to a deluxe with two double
beds. Connecting rooms are available. The Alpine's lobby is a cozy
gathering spot for both guests and restaurant patrons, and all the
rooms were completely renovated in 2003. The Quicksilver Lodge,
renovated in 2002, is a comfortable Camay soap/plastic cup kind
of lodging with no-smoking rooms and feather duvets. The large open
lobby with a piano, games and comfy furniture makes it very popular
with families. It's a five-minute walk to the base. The Village
Inn has queen and twin rooms with fridges.
For chalet suites, all recently renovated in a country-inn
theme, call Alta Crystal Resort (800-277-6475; 663-2500; $$$$$$$). Amenities include an outdoor heated pool and hot tub. A honeymoon cabin is available. For condos, call Crystal Mountain Lodging Suites (888-668-4368; 663-2558; $$$$$$$). All units have kitchens, some have fireplaces. Individual amenities, sleeping arrangements (4 to 8 people) and furnishing vary with suite sizes and locations.
The lower parking lot has 42 RV hookups, first-come,
first-served, $20 per night with electrical hookups, $10 without .
