Cranmore Mountain Resort in the Mt. Washington Valley, NH

Mountain Layout—Skiing

This is a resort for beginners and intermediates. Experts and advanced skiers can have a good time, but they shouldn't expect anything too challenging. Here's a larger trail map.

A favorite is the old Rattlesnake Trail, to the skier’s right off the summit. It was widened and straightened a little by former owners, but still gives the feeling of snaking down the mountain. The Ledges (yes, the trail runs right over the granite of the Granite State) and Koessler trails, down the center and to the skier’s left, offer some challenge, as do the tight, but not too steep, Black Forest and Tree Meister glades from Rattlesnake and Kandahar.

Experts should consider tackling Mt. Washington or Wildcat.
