Getting there

By air: Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell, 19 miles south of the resort, is served by Skywest/Delta Connections, Horizon, Big Sky, Northwest and American West airlines.

Call Flathead Glacier Transportation (892-3390) for ground transportation or check with your hotel for guest shuttle availability.

By car: Whitefish Mountain Resort is 8 miles from the town of Whitefish at the junction of Hwys. 2 and 93.

By train: Amtrak's Empire Builder stops in Whitefish daily from Seattle and Portland to the west and from Chicago and Minneapolis to the east. Kids ride free. Call (800) 872-7245 for information.

Getting around: If you stay and play at the mountain, you won't need a car. The SNOW bus makes free daily runs between Whitefish and the mountain. The last run back up the mountain around 11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. However, most lodges have free shuttle service available for guests and taxi service also is available. A car is essential if you plan to explore.
