Dining (Area code 603)
Attitash has good food options at the base of both mountains, as well as in the Grand Summit Hotel. Seating can be a challenge, so try to eat early or late during busy Saturdays and holidays. Bear Peak is usually less crowded, and there is additional (some say secret) seating upstairs in the Attitash Base Lodge.
Ptarmigans ($-$$), upstairs in the Attitash Base Lodge, offers somewhat of a respite from the insanity of the cramped cafeteria one floor below. Pub fare with excellent stews and soups. The Bear Peak Base Lodge is home to a roomy cafeteria as well as the cozy Lion's Den ($-$$) pub. During favorable weather, ad hoc barbecues will spring up outside of both base lodges, as well as in front of the the Attitash Adventure Center ($) which also has a small deli during peak season. Crawford's Pub and Grill (374-1900; $$–$$$), in the Grand Summit Hotel,
offers casual dining nightly with pub-style fare and pizzas. Also in the hotel you can make a quick stop at The Corner Store ($), for snacks and light fare.
For evening entertainment, the Mt.
Washington Valley is home to a number of excellent restaurants,
many of which serve meals worth a special trip.
