By air: Fly into Albuquerque, about a three-hour drive away; or El Paso, about a two-hour drive. Rent a car for your trip to Ruidoso.

By car: Ski Apache and Ruidoso are approximately halfway between Roswell and Socorro on Hwy. 70. The resort is 180 miles from Albuquerque and 130 miles from El Paso.

Getting around: You will need a car. A town shuttle takes skiers to the mountain once a day (early morning/late afternoon) or by reservation. Call Shuttle Ruidoso at (877) 903-7483 or (505) 336-1683. Lincoln County Tour Company (888-527-1017; 505-258-5191) is also providing a shuttle to the mountain.
